Are Bijou Nacré pearls natural?
Our pearls are natural freshwater pearls from Zhejiang, China. We source directly from the core production areas and choose the ones of high quality.
What is Bijou Nacré jewellery made from?
All our products are made from 925 sterling silver (92.5% pure silver). Our golden jewellery is plated with 18K gold. These materials are hypoallergenic and safe for most skin types.
Is Bijou Nacré's jewellery Sterling Silver 925 stamped?
Yes, most of our Sterling Silver 925 items are stamped, with the exception of smaller items where there is no space to make the 925 mark.
Is Bijou Nacré's jewellery tarnish free?
Most jewellery will tarnish if left exposed to the air for long periods. This is a natural process and can easily be avoided by following our care instructions.
Should your jewellery become tarnished, gently polish the surface of the piece with a silver polishing cloth or lint-free cloth to restore its original finish.
Is Bijou Nacré jewellery waterproof?
We recommend keeping your jewellery away from water to keep it looking its best.
Avoiding contact with water will preserve the life of plated pieces.
How do I take care of my Bijou Nacré jewellery?
Pearls are organic and delicate gemstones. Sterling Silver (925) is a soft metal and should be worn with care.
Allow your jewellery to be the last item you put on before going out — after applying makeup and perfume — and the first to be taken off when you return. Avoid contact with chemicals, swimming pools, spas, and salt water.
To retain its shine, wipe your jewellery gently with a silver polishing cloth or a soft, lint-free cloth before and after each wear.
Are Bijou Nacré's jewellery pieces suitable as gifts?
Our jewellery items are carefully packed and you can offer them as they are for anniversaries, special occasions, or Christmas.
Do you take custom orders?
Although we would love to be able to, we unfortunately cannot accept custom orders.

Do you offer free returns?
No. We do not offer free returns. If you decide to return an unwanted item, the cost of return postage is your responsibility. We recommend using a tracked service, as we are not responsible for items lost in transit.
Can I return Earrings/Pierced Jewellery?
We do not accept returns on any pierced jewellery due to hygiene reasons, regardless of whether the item has been removed from the packaging or not.

Return Policy
You have 14 days to send your unwanted item(s) back to us from the date your parcel is delivered.
In the interest of hygiene, we cannot accept refunds or exchanges on pierced items.
To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
Returned goods are your responsibility until we receive them back. We are not responsible for items lost in transit. We strongly recommend returning items using a tracked and insured service. We cannot offer refunds, exchanges, or store credit if your return is lost in transit.
